| hello,
I
am
Megan Elisha H. Tong, and these pages are my studio-of-a-sort.
Navigation
to the various galleries is accomplished by clicking the linked images
at the top of the page. More interesting pieces of fluff, real
and
otherwise, regarding myself and my work are compiled below, so please
wend your way onwards.
I'll begin with a brief
autobiography. I spent two years studying acting

at the University of Texas at Austin, a city still dear to my heart. I
am finishing my undergraduate career at Bennington
College, where I focus on digital animation but continue to dabble in
painting (pun intended).
I am often asked "What kind of art do you do?" This question
perplexes me: What DO I do? To say "Everything" seems pretentious, and
is quite certainly untrue. However, I have attempted most (known) media
and my subject matter varies with my state of mind and circumstances.
So to answer the question of what kind of art I do, the best I can say
is
that I create art that
personally carries a punch. Everything I do
means something, to me at least, and nothing is unintentional.
With all that aside, I can
move
on to more mundane subjects. Such as: I'd like to extend my warmest
welcome to visitors and hope you decide to peruse the various wings of
my gallery to see what there is to see.
I am an eclectic person, so
although this studio is currently devoted to purely visual art, there
is a good possibility of later adding small pieces of writing,
horse-training experiences, theatre experiences, sewing experiences,
and other things, like the pattern I designed for my floor or animation
projects that I have been devoting great chunks of my life to.
To be sure, I will not be sharing everything that I
do...some drawings and
paintings just won't make it online. If you are dying to see more or to
purchase a piece, feel free to
contact me. I am easily reached via email at the moment, which I
check
quite often as a necessity.

On a legal
note, I'll put in here that, with noted exceptions, all the pictures
(including self-portraits!) and artwork on this website are
taken/drawn/painted by myself and are therefore my sole property.
Putting any original work online is a scary business, so please respect
my artistic copyright and ask ask ask permission before using any part
of what you see.
Similarly, many small blurbs (and the map) that
I credit to no one I have found on various free-image websites.
If you see an icon that is copyrighted to you, please let me know
immediately so that this can be remedied.
